About the Team: 

This Longitude Prize team focuses on the detection of microorganism resistance and antibiotic susceptibility within the context of circadian medicine via the application of the electrophotography technique as a test of detection.  

Associate Professor Dr. Can Polat is a pharmacologist, dental surgeon, psychologist, zoo technician and a retired university researcher.  He is also an expert in circadian rhythm research. He is the founder and President of the Psychology Foundation in Istanbul. Dr. Can Polat has coordinated a number of Horizon 2020 projects (EU). His doctorate subject was on chronopharmacology of antibiotics studied by antibiotic susceptibility test. His experience is particularly in Kirlian electrophotography technique. He is currently working on philosophical science and the survival of memory.
