Following a competitive pitch, three start-ups have been awarded up to £100,000 each to further develop their rapid diagnostic tests with an aim to reduce avoidable use and better steer the use of antibiotics to win the Longitude Prize. The three teams awarded a Boost Grant were from across India: Module Innovations, Pune; NanoDx, Delhi and Hyderbad; and OmiX and Spotsense, Bengaluru. The Boost Grants were sponsored by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), a Govt. Of India Enterprise, as part of longstanding partnership with the Longitude Prize run by Nesta.
In this video, hear from the three teams about the tests in development in India and what the Boost Grant judges thought.
Congratulations to the winners of the Longitude Prize on AMR, Sysmex Astrego!
